This role is for a Manufacturing Engineering professional who works independently implementing manufacturing processes and changes to improve products and reduce costs. This engineer maintains the performance of an assembly line with Operations, Quality, and Design functions.
Design the sequence of larger and more complex operations and installations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other processes, including disassembly/assembly and repairs, to ensure efficiency and optimize performance.
Monitor and ensure mandatory modifications, programs, and bulletins are incorporated or complied with, as required by the customer and the applicable regulatory requirements, to ensure legal compliance and adherence to quality standards.
Identify opportunities or implement changes, on a need basis, to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials, and parts to optimize productivity and ensure optimal use of resources.
Audit manufacturability of existing products, and recommends modifications or adaptations to address quality, customer, product, or productivity constraints.
QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.
QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER:
Statistical Process Control, DMAIC, Process Certification, UPPAP, Six Sigma preferred.
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, experience with Kaizen events or experience with a continuous improvement program (ACE, 6S, etc.).

2nd Shift - Monday through Thursday 3PM to 1:30AM

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
