Join Lockheed Martin’s F-35 Manufacturing Engineering Team and contribute to cutting-edge aerospace technology. As a Manufacturing Engineer Staff supporting the 2nd shift Wing Mate production build team, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive production efficiency, support continuous improvement initiatives, and mentor early career team members. Your expertise in manufacturing engineering will be vital to reducing costs, improving processes, and ensuring high-quality outcomes for the F-35 program.
What You Will Be Doing
• Support Production: Coordinate directly with Production, Quality, IE, OE, and Planning leadership to support the 2nd shift Wing Mate production build team.
• Project Management: Lead projects focused on SRR reduction, HPU reduction initiatives, tooling improvements, and engineering drawing reviews.
• Mentorship: Mentor early career engineers and provide technical support for complex manufacturing issues.
• Process Improvement: Maintain and improve Standard Operating Procedures and Manufacturing Plans while driving corrective action business rhythms.
• Collaboration: Partner with other build teams, including Marietta Center Wing, Wing Structures, Wing Systems, and EMAS, to drive improvements and affordability initiatives.
• Communication: Ensure proactive communication of major issues across support teams and F-35 build areas to support timely issue resolution.

Basic Qualifications:
• Experience as a manufacturing engineer
• Technical Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
• Experience with tooling and tool design concepts
• Experience with corrective action and floor support
• Applied CATIA V5 experience or similar software
• Experience reading engineering blueprints and tool designs
Desired Skills:
• Experience with process optimization and efficiency
• Knowledge of F-35 production line practices and requirements
• F-35 Manufacturing Engineering experience
• Experience with metrology and determining root cause with metrology methods
• Experience working in QADS, SFM, SAP, CAPP, PDM, and ICA
• Experience supporting production on non-standard repair work
• Strong Excel and Tableau experience
• Understanding Lean and Six Sigma Techniques
• Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
• Excellent Organizational skills

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
