Manufacturing Engineer
12-Month Contract
Rates: 26.79 PAYE + holiday pay / 36 Umbrella
Location: Stevenage
Morson is currently recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer on behalf of our defence client, to join them at their manifacturing facility on in Stevenage, on a 12month contract. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-tech defence projects, ensuring products are built efficiently, to high standards, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Manufacturing Instructions
- Design, commission, and validate tooling
- Support industrial validation processes (FMEA, FAI, etc.)
- Investigate and resolve technical issues in manufacturing
- Implement design modifications into manufacturing processes
- Manage route card changes for rework activities
- Support the Non-Conformance Process using SAP
What We’re Looking For:
- Completed Engineering/Craft Apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21) OR HNC (or equivalent) with relevant experience
- 5+ years’ experience in an engineering environment
- Ability to interpret design drawings and create clear manufacturing instructions
- Hands-on experience in Electronic Sub Assembly manufacturing and Electro-Mechanical Actuation Systems
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills
- Understanding of company processes & procedures
