Core Responsibilities:
· Lead cross functional project teams focused on new product introduction, continuous improvement, and nonconformance resolution.
· Develop manufacturing processes and tools to ensure products and services provided meet all contractual, program, design, and quality requirements.
· Create engineering documentation including models, drawings, routings, testing specifications, reports, and work instructions.
· Disposition manufacturing non-conformances and determine root causes and solutions.
· Troubleshoot machines and processes.
· Meet with customers to define their needs and determine the best solutions.
· Co-develop cost estimates for new process implementation and manufacturing quotes.
· Participate in design, manufacturing, and test documentation reviews to ensure applicable contract, program, design, and quality requirements are met.
Qualifications:
· Minimum 5 years providing engineering support to a manufacturing environment.
· Excellent written and verbal communication.
· Proficient at reading, analyzing and interpreting customer drawings, specifications, procedures, and standards.
· Proficient with computer systems and basic software, experience with CAD (Solid Works, NX, AutoCAD, or similar).
· Project management experience with a proven track record of scheduling and organizing people effectively to complete assigned functions.
· Ideal candidates also possess:
·Machining, press/forming, welding, brazing, heat-treat and inspection experience.
·Die, tool, fixture and gage design experience.
·Minimum 3 years in aerospace industry
·Experience optimizing high mix / low volume production.
·Proven success with team leadership and continuous improvement
·Lean and six sigma experience
·Sheet metal experience
Education Requirements:
· Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent
