As Manufacturing Engineering Manager - Gears NPI you will provide leadership and technical skills for Gears NPI business activities, develop/industrialize routing sheets for new products routing sheets, follow all the activities linked with the P&E, plan/monitor of NPI to contribute to the overall business strategy, coordinate the ME team for the business unit.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Coordinate the team to issue internal technical documentation supporting the shop activities (work order, work type, inspection record card, operation sheet part program VT etc.) in accordance with drawing requirements, Quality and Customer requirements
Support the shop activities and Product Quality dept. solving technical problems detected in the production area
Coordinate ME team and enable the collaboration with Shop floor employees to reach the capacity set in the OP to fulfill program needs
Review manufacturing routers and raw material procurement to identify opportunities to reduce final product cost without any negative impact on Quality
Coordinate the activities on new technologies, new machines and investments as required by the business issuing the relevant technical reports
Support NPI Focal Points from a technical standpoint in order to properly engage the Customer and support PMs in disputes resolutions
Drive the team to achieve the Production Readiness and Producibility Review on NPI programs for the industrial activities, being the Supply Chain primary interface to the Program Manager, with the main objectives of matching the program milestones, reaching the Manufacturing Target Cost
Facilitate continuous improvement on NPI activities, increase programs profitability of current programs in accordance with business strategies
Define best practices and standard work for router creation and implementation
Qualifications/Requirements
Master’s degree in Mechanical / Aeronautical Engineering, or High School Technical Diploma with significant experience in similar role
Knowledge of transmission architectures and relevant gear process technical requirements, design solutions, technologies, validation/certification approach
Strong experience in Manufacturing Engineering with increasing responsibilities throughout the years
Experience in managing complex multi-year technical programs in a matrix resource environment
Previous leadership roles, with strong interpersonal and leadership skills as per GE Leadership Behaviors
Ability to set and monitor multiple priorities, coordinate projects/activities of others
Fluent English and Italian, oral and written
Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required
