ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
In addition, as the Manufacturing Product Engineer, you will:
- Ownership includes both quality assurance and quality control through collaboration with the quality organization and special process certifying agents
- Includes quality assurance of outside vendor services and suppliers
- Includes conformance in manufacturing processes and product inspection methodology
- Develops new solutions as a member of a team to continuously improve safety, quality, delivery and cost
- Works across all levels of the Rutland organization, as well as externally
- Specifies needs, communicates about project approach
- Delivers products as part of a team
- Leads analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods
- Gathers and analyzes data to determine statistical process capability, makes decisions based on data
- Manages both long term and short term project timelines in a fast paced manufacturing environment
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, or Production Quality
DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS
- BS in an engineering discipline with 5 years experience in a related technical role
- Experience implementing process changes in support of Lean manufacturing principles
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certified
