Research, formulate and apply mathematical modeling and other methods to develop and interpret information that assists management with military utility decision making, policy formulation, or other managerial functions. May collect and analyze data and develop decision support software, service, courses of action, and/or analysis work products.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsible for applying appropriate systems engineering and/or operations research modeling techniques (e.g., influence diagrams) to military problems that model input, output, and logical flow of military operations in sufficient detail for programming.
Must be capable of monitoring the mathematical and programming aspects of project for adherence to objectives of the model.
Must be capable of researching military operations and developing models that can utilize simulation.
Ability to connect space capabilities to terrestrial warfighting.
Must be capable of applying operations research methodology to define and formulate military systems and operational analysis.
Must have some of knowledge of war fighting principles, theories, procedures, and techniques to include 1v1, 1vMany, campaign, engineering, mission modeling; statistical concepts, linear regression, optimization, design of experiments, Monte Carlo methods, stochastic processes, reliability theory, multiple criteria decision making, normative theory of decisions, analysis, and/or data analytics.
Candidate should have experience in using a variety of tools to support the analysis (Excel, R, OR-Tool for Python, SAS, etc.) as well as experience with software languages and applications to include (Visio, Python, Visual Basic Applications, etc.).
Experience in leading analysis efforts and assisting junior staff.

Job Requirements:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:Candidate must have required technical expertise as a senior military operations analyst in support of United States Space Force, Space Security Defense Program (SSDP).
Headquartered in Colorado Springs CO, supporting warfighting analysis efforts to include the JSWF and Space Analysis Consortium.
Duties and responsibilities will include performing research of military weapon systems, assessing space capabilities in the space warfighting domain as well as impacts to other warfighter missions (Army, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Navy), providing space and long-range weapons (aircraft with missiles and/or hypersonics/cruise/ballistics) subject matter expertise, connecting and quantifying space capabilities to terrestrial warfighting, and producing analysis work products.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Subject Matter Expert on warfighting aviation operations, and experience in hypersonics/cruise/ballistics
Military operational analysis, Analysis of Alternatives
Minimum 17 years industry experience related to responsibilities. One year of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education.
Top Secret Clearance; Eligible for SCI and SAP clearances.
Education
Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research or related technical discipline from an accredited college or university. One year of relevant education may be substituted for one year of required experience.
