Workstream Lead - Core Capability and Configuration

Working closely with the Delivery Work Stream Lead (DWSL) for the core capability and configuration stream (CC&C), the position will function as technical leader for CC&C and be accountable for the capability delivery against the stakeholder requirements. This role is 80 remote working.

Within this role, you shall give clear direction into the project on C&DM process and tools be that at System Requirements, System level, Software, modelling, or hardware. In doing so, you must be prepared to ‘challenge the norm’ and support the organisation in process tailoring to fit the lifecycle phase and/or context of a Programme.

As a Work Stream Lead - Core Capability and Configuration, you are expected to:
• Drive a pro-active approach to C&DM into Digital Engineering Project
• Support the Leonardo UK (LEUK) in encouraging new ideas and innovative solutions into the Integrate Project Team (IPT) and the Line of Business. (LoB)

As an individual, you are expected:
Strategic:
• Cultivate and manage working relationships acting as a technical point of contact across multiple vendors/partners - e.g Siemens (Teamcenter), SAP etc.
• Define and develop technical roadmap for CC&C aligned with the Digital Engineering Strategy working closely with the DWSL.
• Deputises, where applicable for the DWSL
• Ensure capability alignment across wider ongoing initiatives across IT and Engineering
Technical Leadership
• Accountable for capability delivered against a defined acceptance criterion.
(Incorporating customer, business, legislative and contractual requirements)
• Provide technical leadership in order to resolve technical, project and programme conflicts.
• In collaboration with the DWSL to develop a plan for CC&C workload and capability delivery.
• Coordinate across all project work streams providing technical guidance to ensure cohesion across planned design, capability and enhancement in order to meet business requirements.
• Accomplished PLM specialist enabling PLM continuous improvement through collaboration and guidance.
• Liaise with the CM community to ensure delivery of CM best practice within LEUK.

Stakeholder Management
• Engage and influence business stakeholders to ensure that specific business requirements are correctly collected and establish buy-in to proposed solutions.
• Engage and influence stakeholders across the wider business outside the focus of CC&C to ensure that business requirements are satisfied for the entire LEUK lifecycle.

Key Performance Indicators:
• Demonstrate appropriate decision making within the scope of project – time, cost, and requirement acceptance.
• Efficient and Accurate delivery of capability within a defined technical roadmap.
• Form and expand a network of key stakeholders keeping the network fully engaged for the duration of the project.
• Collaborate across project streams working with the wider organisation towards a consistent standardised approach across LEUK.
• Gain recognition within LEUK a focal point for PLM and CM.

Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge Required
Desirable Experience:
• A good understanding of Configuration Management in accordance with DEF STAN 05-57.
• Strong Administration Skills with an attention to detail - you are required to have a logical mind-set.
• Required Demonstrable Experience
• Full understanding of the PLM lifecycle and Tool definition to meet specific requirements.
• Understand and capture end to end business requirements across multiple PLM domains.
• Ability to translate business requirements into context driven functional use cases.
• Definition and agree acceptance criterion for requirements with IT and Business organisations.
• Proven ability to liaise and manage 3rd party vendors to ensure product functionality is delivered to meet defined acceptance criterion.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment in order to meet project deadlines and constraints – time, cost, evolving requirements, and acceptance criterion.

Required Qualifications and Professional Experience
• HNC, equivalent or higher in Engineering or Equivalent Discipline
• 10 Years or more experience in leading PLM transformation programs.
• 10 Years hands on experience in deploying an industry standard PLM tool
( e.g. Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, Dassault 3DXperience)
