OnsiteCollins Aerospace is seeking a highly engaged, hands-on Principal System Integrated Program Team Lead to join our Lavatory Engineering team in Everett, WA. In this pivotal role, you will work with a team of engineers and CIPT Leads, driving innovation and excellence in the Lavatory 3.0 Project.
This is an Onsite position at our Everett, WA facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the CIPT Leads in the product development process through major program milestone reviews (PDR, CDR , V&V and EIS).
- Coordinate and drive assigned engineering tasks and actions to closure in a timely fashion while providing updates to the Program Chief Engineer and Value Stream lead.
- Identify technical risks, develop mitigation strategies, and drive the mitigations to closure with assistance from the Program Chief Engineer.
- Ensure requirements management, including compliance deliverables to the customer, internal requirements documents, as well as validation and verification of system level requirements.
- Manages the scope of the IPT activities within the budget and schedule allocation.
- Ensure that the development activities are executed in compliance with the Program Development Plan, all applicable Standard Work and applicable procedures.
- Documents various program activities such as risk management, earned value, resource management, decisions, action item capture and closure and stakeholder meetings.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and tools, where necessary.
What YOU Will Do:
- Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets; adjust as necessary to adhere to project goals.
- Documentation: Record and document delays, scope changes, and other incidents impacting project scope or schedule.
- Cost Efficiency: Identify and pursue cost-saving opportunities to maximize project profitability.
- Critical Path Analysis: Perform critical path analysis and implement work-around plans to ensure timely project completion.
- Progress Reporting: Conduct meetings, consolidate, and present progress reports related to the business aspects of projects.
- Problem-Solving: Identify project issues and recommend solutions, such as reallocating resources or modifying contractual specifications.
- Program Management: Direct all phases of programs from inception through completion, overseeing administrative and operational aspects.
- Coordination: Liaise between project management, planning, project teams, and line management to ensure seamless project operations.
- Proposal Preparation: Coordinate the preparation of proposals, business plans, work statements, specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contracts.
- Performance Monitoring: Review project and budget status, manage schedules, and prepare reports to ensure project goals are met.
- Customer Relations: Act as the primary customer contact for projects, representing Collins Aerospace with professionalism and expertise.
- Team Leadership: Direct the work of employees assigned to projects in technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas.
- Design Oversight: Establish design concepts, criteria, and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration, and testing.
- Schedule Management: Ensure program schedules and budgets are met, maintaining the integrated master schedules for projects.

Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience

- Project management with experience is preferred
- Proven experience with presenting to customer and leadership
- Experience with engineering change process
- IMS schedule development

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
