Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full-time Early Career Quality Engineer. Backshop Quality seeks a highly motivated individual to provide leadership as a quality engineer in the development and implementation of quality planning, inspection methods, and first article inspections and to drive root cause and corrective action investigations. Assure Quality standards are implemented and adhered to throughout the product lifecycle. You must be able to perform in a customer-focused work environment, maintaining effective communication with internal/external customers including the DCMA and FAA. Position requires coordination with Engineering, Operations, and Procurement on product quality issues and effective issue resolution. You will effectively contribute to the Product Quality team in support of the Daily Review Teams (DRT), Corrective Action Board (CAB), High Visibility (Hi-Vis) escape management process, and data analytics to identify developing trends and maintaining product center key quality metrics. Promote continuous improvement through effective use of Enterprise Excellence tools such as Relentless Root Cause Analysis and DIVE to eliminate discrepancies and escapes. Implement standard work for key processes and support Product Operations initiatives. Additional responsibilities include support of the Material Review Board, Quality Council as well as Product Safety, and ESH initiatives. This position will be within the Blades Quality Engineering Team. The successful candidate will possess excellent technical skills, be adept with desktop PC applications and information systems, and communication and presentation skills. Must be a US Citizen.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or related discipline from an accredited University or equivalent
- Knowledge of MS office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Must possess effective communication where you are able to structure, prepare and deliver compelling and clear communications
- Ability to work multiple tasks in multiple process areas simultaneously
-Must be a US Citizen
Desired Skills:
- Background in ISO 9001/AS9100
- Proficient with reading engineering drawings
- Familiar with Sikorsky helicopter and/or aerospace products
- Familiar with production/manufacturing methods
- Basic Quality Engineering knowledge
- Familiarity and/or knowledge of Failure Analysis
- Familiar with in root cause analysis, mistake proofing, and technical writing skills
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T)
- Flexibility/Adaptability

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
