Position Summary
Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains quality standards for products and processes; Provides statistical information & error-proof solution for quality improvement by gathering data on trends and root cause analysis; Responsible to guide process evaluation, analysis, and related data acquisition processes to ensure quality objectives are achieved.
Scope/Supervision and Interaction:
Contact with all departments & other business units within AP Region.
This QE position will provide quality support for both CDA India and Seal Packing India.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the internal quality control to ensure products conform to technique/quality standard.
- Leads Non-conformity quality cases handling for root cause analysis, corrective & preventing actions initiates and follow-up.
- Assesses quality performance using statistical and analytical methods; Implements various methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, reliability and accuracy of products, processes and production equipment.
- Ensures that project and/or process control documentation is compliant with requirements and/or contract.
- Prepares reports by collecting, interpreting, analyzing and summarizing data and making recommendations; Analyzes proposed changes in methods and materials.
- Applies continuous improvement (error-proof included) and key lean manufacturing/production principles and techniques to critical areas of production;
- Supports the application of specialized quality knowledge within the production process, i.e., Production Approval Process (PPAP) and routine SPC control;
- Responsible for customer complaint handling including root cause analysis, problem solving, verify actions effectiveness etc.
- Coach, train, and direct QC on inspection and process control.
- Lead internal/customer/third-party audit of the quality system as related to documented procedures, work instructions, and the ISO 9001 International Standard; Generate corrective action report and follow up the nonconformity item improvement.

Qualifications
- Bachelor degree with material science or mechanical engineering background;
- 4+years of relevant job experience prefer in Automotive industry;
- Proficient in quality tools: PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, control plan, etc.
- Strong problem solving skills, such as 8D, SWHY, etc.
- Self-initiative, positive, passionate, result driven and good communication skill;
- Familiar with ISO 9000 and TS 16949 standards;
- Good written and spoken English.
- Good computer skill of Microsoft Office, special for excel, power point;
