The Position:
Job summary:Partner with Engineering, Product, and other cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality products. This includes participating in key milestone review meetings and ensuring compliance to product and process requirements. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to define or enhance on functional processes, ensuring compliance to industry standards (AS9100, DO-178, etc.) and customer requirements. Conduct activities related to identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Major Responsibilities Description:- Perform quality activities throughout software development lifecycle with cross-functional teams. (50)
- Participate in key milestone review meetings to ensure compliance to industry standards (AS9100, DO-178, etc.), product, OEM and process requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in software development lifecycle.
- Define and ensure successful conclusion of improvement initiatives.
- Define, update, collect and analyze KPI data and trends in partnerships with KPI owners.
- Work with KPI owners to implement a get to green plan as needed.
- Perform testing in the labs as required to demonstrate compliance to requirements.
- Perform Root Cause and Correct Action (RCCA) activities. Review the effectiveness of actions and share lessons learned across the cross-functional teams. Drive improvement initiatives resulting from preventive actions. (30)
- Support the continuous improvement of the Quality Management System. Improves and/or implements quality operation procedures, work instructions, and quality planning. (10)
- Support investigations, initiatives, and projects as needed, at the team or organization level. (10)
The salary or hourly wage range of $ 93,000 – $157,000 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. The final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
What We’re Looking For:
Education/Experience Requirements:BS in Software, Electrical Engineering, or related Engineering degree.
Minimum of 8 years of related experience.
Knowledge/Skill Requirements:
- 5+ years embedded software development background for aerospace/defense or medical devices desired.
- Experience working and testing avionics, aircraft, and/or electronic systems.
- Working knowledge of AS9100-based Quality Management System requirements, DO-178.
- Working experience with RCCA/CAPA, 5Whys.
- Experience in conducting audits.
- Strong process mindset.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge or experience with Lean Six Sigma is a plus. Green/black belt is a plus.
- AS9100 Lead auditor certification is a plus.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong ownership mindset with demonstrated capability to drive projects from start to completion.
