Description:Develops, coordinates and conducts technical reliability studies and evaluations of engineering design concepts. Recommends design or test methods and statistical process control procedures for achieving required levels of product reliability. Compiles and analyzes performance reports and process control statistics; investigates and analyzes relevant variables potentially affecting product and processes. Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards. Analyzes preliminary plans and develops reliability engineering programs to achieve company, customer and governmental agency reliability objectives. May develop mathematical models to identify units, batches or processes posing excessive failure risks. As necessary, proposes changes in design or formulation to improve system and/or process reliability. May determine units and/or batches requiring environmental testing, and specifies minimum number of samples to obtain statistically valid data.

Candidate should have good written and oral communication skills. The individual should have strong technical skills and willingness to learn. Candidate should be a self starter capable of performing assigned tasks. A technical degree such as a BSEE is desired. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and Windchill Quality Solutions is a plus. Ideal candidate would have practical hands on experience with hardware and troubleshooting. Reliability Engineer will support design reviews and test activities as required.

Some travel may be required.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in an Engineering or related discipline – preferably Electrical, Computer, or Electronics Engineering.
Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
Desired Skills:
Electrical Engineering Degree.
Experienced with Microsoft Office (POWERPOINT, ACCESS, WORD, EXCEL).
Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build effective working relationships.
Additionally, excellent oral and written communication skills, technical writing experience and an ability to perform oral presentations in front of large groups.
Reliability Engineering experience.
Familiar with Military specifications/standards.
Military experience.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
