In the role of SHM Intern youll play a pivotal part in defining and enhancing the processes required to ensure production of cost effective and quality products. This position contributes to our vision by:
•tInterfaces with product engineering, manufacturing leadership, and support teams to meet business unit goals;
•tSupports standardization initiatives across business units;
•tCoordinates with engineering team to implement company engineering strategies;
•tDefines material sorting and grouping to match the process sequence and aid manufacturing;
•tDocuments sorting to match the process sequence;
•tResolves problems related to the manufacturing process;
•tCapitalizes projects using the “I see I do" process;
•tProvides support to improves process layout to optimize product flow;
•tUses video analysis to improve work methods and procedures;
•tHandle in day-to-day administrative tasks
•tAssists the Process Engineers in management of major projects

Job Requirements:

Education and/or Experience
•\tCurrently pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering or decision science; prefer a field of study in aerospace engineering
•\tMinimum Junior year or with equivalent credits
Knowledge/Skills
•\tMust be able to work a minimum of 30 hours a week Monday - Friday.
•\tProficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint – Basic
•\tProficient in Microsoft Excel, including being able to manage large amounts of data and tasks – Advanced
•\tBlueprint and schematics reading - Basic
•\tProblem Solving, root cause analysis and corrective action - Basic
•\tAbility to prioritize to meet customer requirements – Basic
•\tAbility to communicate, verbally and written, to internal customers– Basic
•\tAbility to build strategic working relationships at all levels of the organization – Basic
•\tPossess a can-do attitude and sense of urgency when completing projects and tasks– Basic
