What YOU will do
- Execute objectives for requirements management, reliability, logistics, coordination of different teams, evaluation measurements, and other disciplines for large or complex projects.
- Monitor the cost, effectiveness, and reliability of activities and recommend modifications to optimize resources, prioritize spending, and ensure that standards are met.
- Research and evaluate investments or changes in technology, resources, procedures, equipment, systems, or other assets to improve the quality of the organization’s systems products and services.
- Provide analysis for the decomposition of customer specifications and system level requirements into sub-system and piece part requirements, and develop verification criteria and plans for the requirements.
- Perform analysis at all levels of the total system product including concept, design, fabrication, modeling, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
- Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
- Consider and evaluate alternatives accounting for similar metrics.
- Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Perform architectural exploration.
- Decompose customer specifications and system level requirements into sub-system and piece part requirements, and generates verification criteria and plans for the requirements.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field and 5 years of progressive experience as an Embedded Systems Engineer or related role in the Avionics industry. In the alternative, must possess at least a master’s degree or its equivalent in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field and 3 years of experience as an Embedded Systems Engineer or related role in the Avionics industry would be acceptable.
- Must possess at least 3 years of experience with capturing and analyzing customer requirements.
- Must possess at least 3 years of experience with decomposing customer requirements into clear system and subsystem architecture/ requirements.
- Must possess at least 2 years of experience with performing system integration, testing and validation of complex embedded avionics systems.
- Must possess at least 2 years of experience with performing system design requiring planning and coordination of development tasks across multiple subsystem functional areas.
- Must possess at least 2 years of experience with developing system operation and requirement-based test cases and procedures.
- Must possess at least 1 year of experience with aircraft cabin management systems, audio/video consumer-based electronics or in-flight entertainment systems development lifecycle.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work onsite. This
includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
The salary range is $105,539.00 to $163,000.00 USD per year. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
