Position Summary
Responsible for successfully delivering Engineering activity for assigned aircraft. You will contribute to daily operations and activities to ensure project results are met respecting budget, time and quality targets, in line with your priorities and the organization’s Vision and strategy. You will be collaborating closely with various stakeholders throughout the company to ensure that the projects are globally aligned and executed effectively.
Main Responsibilities
- Functional management of a team up to 15 engineers on Projects
- Assign the work to the engineers and follow up in terms of Schedule, Budget, and Quality
- Support with employee evaluation, career development, hiring and interviewing of both internal Engineers and subcontractors
- Provide and manage technical expertise to the team especially on the following subjects
- Manufacturing requirements; or fuselage configuration; or cabin design; or product support items; or method & tools and related standardisation opportunities
- Ensure that the work of the project is manufacturable and that communication with the other engineering disciplines is appropriate and on time
- Act as an entry point for the project for Production Engineering various requests
- Support with quotations, aircraft surveys and technical presentations to the customers
- Write technical specifications and proposals
- Prepare, check and release Production Engineering drawings and documents
- Prepare work instruction related to manufacturing and tools applications
Minimum Requirements
- Holding a relevant diploma (Master / Bachelor) of engineering (preferable Aviation) with minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Aviation manufacturing
- Previous experience in VIP upgrades and/or Completions would be an asset
- General knowledge of the Aviation Regulations (EASA and/or FAA)
- Design knowledge on NX and Autocad Mechanical
- Fluent command of the English language
- Command of other local French/German/Spanish language would be an asset
- Proactive, forward thinking and self-motivated team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
