What You Will Do
Lead Program Execution and Schedule Adherence: Ensure that all aspects of the BlackHawk APCU New Product Introduction (NPI) program, including engineering, budget, and schedule, are executed according to plan. This includes overseeing project timelines, resource allocations, and managing project risks to ensure successful delivery of the first digital controls product line.
Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leadership and Coordination: Direct the work of the IPT, providing clear, concise communication and coordination across hardware, software, and systems development. Ensure that design reviews, technical assessments, and cross-functional collaboration are efficiently managed to support product qualification and delivery milestones.
Cost Estimation and Budget Management: Develop and maintain accurate cost estimates for all Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) efforts, ensuring that assumptions, dependencies, risks, and opportunities are thoroughly documented. Regularly provide Earned Value Management System (EVMS) data and financial reports to meet program budgetary requirements and corporate financial tracking.
Stakeholder Communication and Status Reporting: Regularly communicate project status, key issues, and progress updates to stakeholders, including senior leadership and external customers. Conduct formal reviews and present project updates related to engineering and financial performance in accordance with established reporting guidelines.
Risk Management and Problem Resolution: Identify potential risks and project issues early, implementing proactive mitigation plans. Monitor and resolve project challenges such as delays, scope changes, or resource constraints, ensuring productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals are met while maintaining alignment with program objectives.

Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Proven experience managing engineering teams and projects.
Strong understanding of Digital Control Systems and their Product Development Lifecycle.
Willingness to travel up to 25 of the time.
Qualifications We Prefer
Master’s degree in electronics, software or systems engineering
Experience with Digital Control System Architecture
Proficiency in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Model Based Design and SysDevOps
Experienced SAFe Scrum Master
Familiarity with DO-160, DO-178, and DO-254 standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
