OnsiteThis position is for a Senior Quality Engineering professional. Works as an individual contributor to achieve objectives that have a significant impact on site quality health. May manage Quality Engineering processes and/or projects. Uses experience and knowledge to influence the development, modification, application, and maintenance, or quality evaluation, control systems, and protocols. This is an onsite position and will require the employee to be at the facility.
What You Will Do:
- Identifies and manages risk in product development primarily utilizing and driving UPPAP core elements (e.g. PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow and Control Plans, etc.).
- Lead for quality-focused mentoring and will function as a site subject matter expert in quality engineering and methodologies.
- Develops proactive quality initiative strategies and drives their implementation.
- Provides explanations of testing and inspection plans, methods and technologies to assure reliability and conformance of products and processes.
- Reviews process control documentation to ensure it is in compliance with requirements, objectives, and/or contracts.
- Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains quality evaluation, control systems and protocols for materials being processed into partially finished or finished products.
- Collaborates internally to ensure quality standards are in effect.
- Ensures that projects and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contracts.
- Performs Escape management procedures, root cause analysis, and recommends corrective action for design problems for internally produced products & processes.
- Designs and implements product engineering changes to satisfy quality issues raised by customers.
- Responsible for both Program and Product Quality Engineering, including current product manufacturing support.
- Responsible for data/metrics gathering, generation, and analysis for Iowa Quality.
- Responsible for leading teams on Iowa Quality projects.
- Evaluates RCCA performance and effectiveness to identify/evaluate trends.
- Developing regular management presentations.
- Familiarity and competency with Business Analytics tools.
- Responsible for development of new inspection technologies or methodologies to assure product conformance.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Relevant ASQ certification and/or engineering degree preferred.
- Manufacturing experience
- CORE Apprentice Certification
- AS9100 Knowledge
- Root Cause Corrective Action experience

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
