Boeing Research & Technology META (Middle East, Türkiye, Africa) region is looking for a senior software & research engineer/scientist to work in Istanbul, Türkiye, in projects related to full-stack development of production-grade model-based methods and software tools for data interoperability across multiple engineering design tools. The ideal candidate would have a proven track record of research fund capture experience and proposal development expertise nationally and internationally.
Position Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will perform the following duties:
Participate in agile activities including daily scrums, and planning
Adhere to team development standards for software processes, tools, and metrics
Ability to work in an international team environment
Support the Product Owner and Solution Architect to confirm that the end product reflects the desired functionality
Engage in proposal development and external fund capture activities (e.g., Tubitak, HORIZON Europe)
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Master’s degree in Computer science, Engineering, or a related field
3 years of extensive experience with software development using either Java, C&43;&43;, or Python
Experience in Spring framework
Familiarity with modern SDLC
Solid understanding of OOP, Algorithms, Design Patterns, Code Refactoring
Proficiency with frontend JavaScript frameworks, Angular, React JS, Node JS
Develop and execute unit and integrated test procedures/automation
Experience with project fund capture and proposal development
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
PhD in Science or Engineering
Experience in Tubitak and Europe (especially HORIZON program) funding schemes
Knowledge/experience in the Aviation Industry desirable
Exposure to Systems Engineering is favorable
Experienced in JAVA, minimum version 8
Experience using dependency management (Maven, Gradle)
Experience developing and maintaining REST APIs and interfaces
Familiarity with practices such as test-driven development (TDD), agile software development, continuous integration, dependency management
Knowledge of Git or other version control systems
Experience with Graph databases is a plus
Typical Education/Experience
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., PhD, Master&43;3 years related work experience).

This requisition is for an international, locally hired position in Istanbul, Türkiye. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S.-based payroll and will commensurate with experience and qualifications and in accordance with applicable Türkiye law.
