Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Quality Engineering Manager to lead the Quality Assurance organization at Lockheed Martin’s cutting-edge Energy operations based in Andover, Massachusetts. The Quality Manager will be responsible for the strategic leadership and performance of several key areas including establishing and directing quality management plans for new development activities and existing activities to ensure seamless transition to production.
The leader will utilize data analytics, continuous improvement, talent development, training and knowledge continuity to enable proactive approaches to product quality. The candidate will act as a Subject Matter Expert in the area of Quality Engineering and Quality leadership. This position requires that the candidate stay current with industry standards, solutions and leverage technology into Lockheed Martin’s growing Energy business practices, products, and processes.
What You Will Be Doing
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Develop and drive strategies resulting in contemporary and optimal business methods and practices for strengthening the Quality Management System.
• Develop and implement processes to optimize program execution while driving out risks.
• Collaborate with Integrated Product Teams to ensure quality standards are in place.
• Ensuring the Lockheed Martin Energy Quality Management System complies with customer requirements and governmental regulatory standards.
• Utilize quality methodologies and policies and procedures at the Lockheed Martin.
• Establish performance metrics and conducting data analysis to identify process improvements.
• Identifying solutions to complex problems with a focus on continual improvement practices using tools like Causal Analysis to drive Corrective Action and Preventive Action.
• Liaison between program and the Customer to ensure Customer satisfaction and accomplishment of Customer requirements.
• Recruit and develop talent to strengthen the organization. Conduct recurring performance evaluations for the Quality team.

Basic Qualifications:
Technical Engineering degree, or equivalent experience, in one of the following disciplines: Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Systems Engineering.
Experience with non-conformance management, defect reduction, root cause and corrective action, product and process improvement, and developing inspection/test instructions.
Experience with Receiving Inspection, First Article Inspection and Source (supplier) Inspection.
Experience with MRPII and/or ERP systems.
Experience with ISO9001 in practice and also participation in the certification and re-certification process.
Experience with bid, proposal and estimating practices and development of Quality Assurance Basis of Estimates (BOE’s). Experience with finance and budget control.
Demonstrated supervision, teaming and leadership experience. Demonstrated personnel recruiting, training and development experience.
Effective verbal, written communication and presentation skills, ability to develop messages, training and compelling strategies for cross-functional audiences.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
This position is 100 on-site at the Andover, Massachusetts facility.
Desired Skills:
Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification.
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).
Advanced AS9100, AS9102, ISO9001 interpretation and application experience.
Experience with SAP a significant plus.
Advanced technical Engineering degree, or equivalent experience, in one of the following disciplines: Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Systems Engineering. Master’s degree in Business Administration.
Experience with industrial chemical processing.
Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) technical experience.
Experience and knowledge of Agile work methods.
Experience with quality digital transformation implementation.
Experience with Microsoft Teams communication platform.
Familiar with requirements for handling and control of Government Furnished Equipment / Property during field, ground or operational tests.
Experience with installing/fielding of complex systems at customer sites.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
