To face the new product development and product evolution in the context of major or minor change(s) from End to End, a great opportunity for a Software and Method Quality Engineer (m/f) has arisen in Airbus Toulouse
You will join Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Toulouse in the Avionics & Simulation domain.
In the frame of Commercial Aircraft development and Manufacturing business, Avionics & Simulation is a department performing design, development, production and support for the main critical calculators embedded on Airbus aircrafts (i.e Flight Control, Flight Warning, Air Traffic Management).
Its mission is also to be a Chamber of Reference providing all necessary expertise within Airbus in relation with equipment development (technical expertise to the Design Office, financial and technical assessment of external offers, consulting activities for A/C programme, etc).
This position is opened in the Quality Department of Avionics & Simulation, Quality Assurance Service.
The jobholder will be mainly responsible for:
- Assuring the Software certification of Airbus Avionic critical Equipment
- Providing the methodological support allowing the SW team to deliver On Time and On Quality
As a Software Quality Engineer, you will be in charge to assure the quality and support the certification of the SW being developed on the entire equipment life cycle - Development, Production and In-service identified issues, assuring especially compliance to the applicable SW avionics standards (i.e DO-178; DO-330; DO-200).
You will be in interface with a large range of stakeholders; collaborating closely with the SW team and related subcontractors but also with other actors contributing to assure the quality of the Avionic Equipment around Program Management, Architecture, Electronic Product development activities.
As Software Assurance Manager you will have the responsibilities to plan all processes assurance activities in order to assess that all activities are conducted in accordance with the applicable referential (Development Plan, Validation & Verification Plan, Configuration Management Plan).
You will lead the internal quality reviews to prepare and successfully achieve key milestones for our customers and review and approve specifications and developments plans, V&V summary, etc. in accordance with applicable plans and regulatory requirements.
You will manage root cause analysis (PPS) and coordinate Return of Experience to enhance the development of future SW standards
You work closely with the Software Project Leader and the Product Quality Engineer in charge of the whole product to deliver Right First Time.
You will deliver the necessary Quality Assurance plan to cover quality surveillance activities. The main deliveries are (but not limited to)
Software Quality Assurance Plan (SQAP), Plan for Software Aspect for Certification (PSAC) , Management of Proof reading of Quality activities in software quality repository (SQAR)
Reports of internal Software development Reviews for all developed software’s
Reports of external review as Software Assurance Nominee (if delegation), & Encapsulation Report for Certification review
Process Assurance/Quality reading sheets, List of Applicable Rules,
Change reviews, Root Causes Analysis based on Practical Problem Solving (PPS) method and tools,
As a successful candidate you will have following skills and experiences:
With a good team spirit and a good relationship, you will lead and support the development team to drumbeat such key projects in a complex environment.
Based on open minded and autonomous skills, you will demonstrate a strong capacity to explain, convince and to give meaning to the development team.
Business Improvement tools, Quality fundamentals, Configuration Management skills should be a plus.
Experience in Quality projects management, APQP experience or equivalent will complete the ideal profile.
Language Skills: fluent in French and a negotiation level in English
