Leverage your expertise to take part in technical delivery, ensuring we deliver on our brand promise and drive organizational success, together with our global Engineering teams.

• Analyse requirements and evaluate solution options from a system engineering perspective
• Support solution design by contributing expertise to ensure high-level decisions are deliverable and scalable
• Convert, align, and map requirements into functional and technical specifications.
• Ensure requirements are documented and traceable for software engineering
• Provide expertise in developing technical specifications
• Perform hands-on technical engineering and implementation
• Provide level 2 and level 3 incident support for in-production systems and manage user expectations
• Review application development vendors’ work on engineering and implementation
• Oversee and QA all solution components to ensure compliance with requirements and Cathay Pacific standards
• Collaborate across aviation domains, follow engineering standards, and stay updated on business strategy and industry trends

• A minimum of 6 years of IT with at least 3 years in application engineering and support
• Hands-on experience in backend engineering and implementation is a must  
  Experience in working in a sizable programme is a must
• Tertiary education is essential
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills, promoting healthy relationships and team dynamics with internal and external stakeholders 
• Knowledge in CI/CD, DevOps and Agile or Lean principles is preferred
• Good understanding of the latest technological trends
• Good command in verbal and written English
• Knowledge in Aviation Maintenance & Engineering systems is a must
• Experience in airline industry is a must
