Sr Advanced Windows Software Engineer

Contract Position

$65.99-$70.99/Hour

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and integrate software applications for current and next-generation torpedo guidance and control systems for the Department of Defense.
• Provide engineering expertise in diagnostics and debugging of existing code to ensure high reliability and performance for deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve software and system issues while recommending and implementing solutions.
• Document software development processes, including test plans, design documentation, and maintenance of design requirements.

Qualifications:

• Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 8+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.

  Clearance Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Clearance.

  Experience and Skills:

  • Proficiency with C/C++, object-oriented development, and Windows application development (Win32, WPF, WinUI 3).
  • Experience with software design patterns (e.g., MVVM, MVP) and Windows kernel-level debugging using tools such as Windows DDK or WinDBG.
  • Hands-on experience with National Instruments LabWindows/CVI, MATLAB, Visual Studio, and SQL/SQL Server.
  • Strong understanding of Windows low-level systems development, APIs, and software architecture decisions.
  • Experience with DevOps practices (version control, branching strategies, automated build/test/deploy) and Agile/Lean software development principles.

• Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with communication protocols (GPIB, RS232, SPI) and interfacing with hardware devices (PXI, CRIO, CDAQ).
  • Proficiency in using lab equipment like oscilloscopes, DMMs, and spectrum analyzers.
