Prime Air Quality is seeking an experienced Sr. Design Quality Assurance Engineer. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of leading Hardware/Software Quality and Design Assurance engineering initiatives for certifying highly complex products in the aerospace, aviation maintenance industries. The right candidate will also be a strong integrator who prioritizes well and communicates effectively.

Export Control License: This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon’s ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.

Job Requirements:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- 7+ years’ experience leading software quality assurance activities from inception of project to delivery to support Software DO-254/DO-178 C certification, and DO-330, DO-331, DO-332
- 7+ years' experience auditing design activities and perform process assurance activities to ensure lifecycle processes comply with approved plans and standards
- 5+ years' experience monitoring test execution
- 5+ years' experience performing conformity reviews
- 5+ years' experience participating FAA audits and change control boards
- Strong command of product development lifecycle processes
- Deep understanding showing compliance to regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated Experience with PLM, JAMA, and other common tools- 10+ years' experience with DQA activities in DO-178 Compliance and Auditing
- 5+ years' experience with DO-254 and DO-278 Compliance and Auditing
- Demonstrated Experience with (FAA) 14 CFR 21.137 requirements

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic spanets. The base pay for this position ranges from $128,600/year in our lowest geographic spanet up to $213,600/year in our highest geographic spanet. Pay is based on a number of factors including spanet location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
