Electrical Engineer

Contract Position

$42.24-$45.06/Hour

Responsibilities:

• Design, test, and produce advanced torpedo guidance and control systems, incorporating cutting-edge technologies in acoustic sensors, signal processing, guidance, cybersecurity, and high-reliability electronics.
• Develop and troubleshoot circuit card schematics, staying ahead of technology trends in electronic design architectures, assembly, and component selection.
• Conduct research and development activities, including concept design, modeling, prototyping, and testing.
• Analyze and design AC-DC and DC-DC power systems and power control circuits.
• Integrate, test, troubleshoot, and verify electrical hardware.
• Contribute to multilayer PCB design, ensuring safety and performance compliance.

Qualifications:

• Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field.
  • 2+ years of job-related experience, or a Master’s degree.

• Clearance Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.

• Experience and Skills:

  • Proficiency in electrical engineering CAD tools and mixed-signal circuit analysis/design.
  • Strong background in power system design, including DC-DC (Buck, Boost, LDO), AC-DC, and power control circuits.
  • Experience with CAN, SPI, I2C, and Ethernet communication protocols.
  • Knowledge of safety-significant circuits and high-reliability systems.
  • Hands-on experience with test, troubleshooting, and verification of electrical hardware.
  • Familiarity with multilayer PCB design and system integration.
