Job Description SummaryAs the Sr. Enterprise Application Engineer, you will provide IT Sustainment & Support of GE Aerospace’s Enterprise PLM (Windchill) Platform and support deployments and upgrades. You will join a dynamic team that strives to effectively enhance GE’s enterprise development & production environments. You will partner with stakeholders, Digital and Engineering teams to assess their business needs and recommend IT solutions. You will provide on-call support and review technical designs to ensure compliance with organizational standards. In this role, you will:
- Architect and design sound/supportable technical solutions to complex business requirements.
- Evaluate requests for enhancements and determine potential impacts with the current system design/configuration.
- Execute Windchill installations, configurations, applications deployments, and upgrades.
- Provide support and maintenance of existing customizations and application functionality.
- Triage/debug production issues (Data, Code, Performance, Security, etc.), identify root cause and corrective actions.
- Write technical specifications.
- Document system changes.
- Create and send reports for Ticket Trends & Statistics per Standard Operating Procedures and as needed.
- Execute Monitoring, Sustainment & Support of P&A (Performance & Availability, Operational Stability) solutions.
- Create and send system P&A reports and escalate issues per Standard Operating Procedures.
- Create and contribute to planning and execution of PLM Priorities (Sprint, Quarterly, Annual, and ad-hoc as required.
- Execute L3 Ticket Resolution within SLA.
- Work with DBA on refresh activities, Patches and Software Updates / Web servers.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 2 years of professional experience OR associate degree with minimum of 5 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 7 years of professional experience.
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
- Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience.
Desired Characteristics:
- IT support and operations experience, supporting application management on Linux/Unix (and Windows) operating systems.
- Experience with traditional servers and cloud solutions
- Demonstrated ability to quickly understand new concepts, analyze system deficiencies and stay abreast of emerging technologies.
- Organized, thorough, and detail oriented with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others using strong analytical skills to solve problems and actively incorporate input from various sources.
- Demonstrated customer focus – evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer and build strong customer relationships while creating processes from the customers viewpoint.
- Working knowledge of Oracle databases.
- Experience working with an offshore development team.
- Experience with Lean Principles and Agile Methodologies.
