Job Summary:
Sr. Structures Engineer, on site at Tinker AFB Oklahoma City, to join our Hot Section Engineering (HSE) Structures Engineering group.
Structural Engineer for on site resolution of engine disassembly and rebuild issues that develop at the depot during engine rebuild. Opportunity to get hands on experience with the hardware and to learn how the parts are disassembled and reassembled. Includes learning about inspection techniques and fixtures needed for protecting the parts from handling damage. Includes working with a multi-disciplinary team to develop solutions to problems slowing the rebuild process. This includes on site engineers and at other P&W locations. The Engineer will be part of the Component Integrated Product Teams (CIPT’s) which is responsible for resolving high priority engine tear down and rebuild challenges for the Combustor, Diffuser, Turbine at Tinker AFB Oklahoma City.
Key Responsibilities:
Work as the onsite engineer.
Perform structures evaluations using PW Engineering Standard Work (ESW).
Work within a team environment with MROE, Design, Project and Durability Engineers.
Basic Qualifications:
BS in Engineering.
5+ years of engineering experience or 3+ years with an advance degree.
Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
Knowledge of Combustor, Diffuser, Turbine hardware.
Experience in structural integrity related analysis and risk assessment techniques for gas turbine engines
Working knowledge of gas turbine hardware structural analysis techniques using Ansys Classic and Ansys Workbench.
Experience with performing mission lifing and evaluating handling damage.
Excellent communication & collaboration skills and the ability to function across a wide range of disciplines and management levels.
Strong communication, presentation, teaming and collaboration skills.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
