Geospatial Systems Engineer
McLeansville, NC
Contract Position
$41.31-$46.31/Hour
Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain geospatial solutions for mission-critical programs.
- Develop and manage GIS and database systems to meet program requirements.
- Utilize geospatial tools and technologies to support command, control, and data processing systems.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Science, Engineering, or Mathematics, plus 5-8 years of relevant experience; or a Master’s degree.
- Clearance: Active Secret Clearance required.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in designing, implementing, and analyzing GIS and database solutions.
- Experience with geospatial analysis and familiarity with the ArcGIS suite of products.
- Ability to set up and maintain ArcGIS Enterprise in virtual environments.
- Proficiency in creating Python tools, JavaScript applications, and Java development.
- Knowledge of source code management tools, such as GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
- Experience with RESTful API design and implementation.
- Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and environments.
- Ability to present technical solutions and recommendations to clients.
- Passion for mastering new skills, identifying system improvements, and mentoring teammates.
