Test & Evaluation Engineer (CWL/MTWS)
Manassas, VA
Contract Position
$44.02-$49.02/Hour
Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the testing, integration, and validation of CWL and MTWS systems for U.S. and Australian submarines.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and industry partners to ensure seamless system performance in lab and submarine environments.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test procedures, including verification and validation of corrective changes.
- Identify functional issues, troubleshoot defects, and propose solutions for software, firmware, and hardware.
- Perform system installations, rip-outs, testing, and validation for tactical systems.
- Utilize electrical measurement tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters) for diagnostics and system testing.
- Assist in lab configurations following relevant drawings and port maps.
- Support formal and informal test events, customer-driven testing, and field services activities, including occasional travel to submarine home ports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics (or a Master’s degree with no experience requirement).
- Secret Clearance required.
- 2+ years of experience in testing or working with AN/BLQ-10, AN/BYG-1, Submarine Weapon Launchers, or AN/BQQ-10 systems.
- Proficiency in software testing and analysis.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- General knowledge of network configurations, operations, and commands.
- Navy or submarine experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
