Staff Cyber Engineer
Sterling Heights, MI
Contract Position
$65.41-$70.41/Hour
Join a team dedicated to designing and producing armored combat and support vehicles. As a prime mover in ground force capabilities, this firm provides innovative solutions that ensure the safety and effectiveness of military personnel worldwide, focusing on durability, mobility, and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Secure armored combat and support vehicles, leading cyber architecture, compliance, and technology integration to support C5ISR systems for ground combat platforms.
- Develop and manage cybersecurity architecture, evaluation, testing, and compliance for C5ISR systems in U.S. ground combat platforms.
- Ensure a balanced, integrated, and compliant cybersecurity design across vehicle systems in coordination with engineering and program leadership.
- Establish and implement cyber-physical design best practices, tools, and training across the engineering organization.
- Define and manage system requirements, interface allocations, and performance specifications including SWaP-CRaM (Space, Weight, Power-Cooling, Reliability, and Maintenance).
- Lead trade studies and structured decisions for system and subsystem design, balancing cybersecurity, cost, and performance.
- Develop and oversee verification plans, including testing, production, and field site validation.
- Lead Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations for cybersecurity-related production, development, and testing issues.
- Evaluate and integrate new cybersecurity and C5ISR technologies into ground combat vehicle systems.
- Manage and participate in peer reviews, checkpoint evaluations, and compliance assessments to ensure system integrity.
- Collaborate with Design Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) on threat analysis, interface development, and requirements decomposition.
