Summary:
Lead complex engineering programs and drive innovation to support aerospace product development and production.
Resolve complex engineering challenges using advanced methods and evaluation techniques.
Serve as a recognized expert, providing consultation and guidance to peers.
Develop standards, balancing technical, cost, and schedule requirements.
Operate with minimal oversight, making authoritative decisions and setting technical objectives.
Stay current on industry advancements to recommend quality and efficiency improvements.
Required Skills:
Bachelors degree in Engineering (Aerospace or Mechanical preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
10+ years of MRB engineering experience at a recognized aerospace manufacturer.
Expertise in creating and justifying dispositions for nonconformances in composite and metallic aircraft structures (pressurized and non-pressurized).
Experience with aircraft components (wing, fuselage, empennage) in a production or schedule-driven environment. Experience with structural modifications is a plus.
Advanced degrees may substitute up to 2 years (Masters) or 4 years (PhD) of experience.
U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency required.
Proficient in Catia V5, Solumina, SmarTeam, Corridor, Word, Excel.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment, designing repairs with equivalent strength and stiffness.
