Reporting to the Manager, Methods Engineering, the Methods Engineering Technologist Intern will be responsible for project planning and support for manufactured components of the DHC-515 Waterbomber Aircraft. This Intern Student position will be a 4-month term, based out of Victoria, BC.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Creation of manufacturing work instructions, annotated workbooks, and the drafting of digitized engineering data
- Modernization of manufacturing data and instructions using 2D & 3D CAD
- Use of modern manufacturing techniques to increase efficiency and repeatability of the production line
- Opportunities to use modern manufacturing techniques (eg. 3D printing) will be considered
Skills
- MS Office Experience required
- Excellent MS Excel skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience
- Currently enrolled in a recognized engineering program
- Preference to students who are completing an aerospace, electrical, or mechanical engineering degree.
