Summer 2025 - Electrical Engineering Intern (Appleton) in GAC Appleton

This in-person position is for the 2025 summer period from May/June - August/September 2025. Must be able to work on-site in Appleton, Wisconsin full time (40 hours/week) for at least 12 weeks.
This position will be posted until 11/03/2024, and interviews will be on-going.
Summary: Will work in a collaborative environment with a team of engineers to generate electrical data to support the completions outfitting of business aircraft.
Engineering intern students at Gulfstream Aerospace in Innovation, Engineering and Flight are considered to be an integral part of the Engineering staff, and as such, are provided with tasks that are both technically challenging and educationally stimulating.
We are looking for all levels of educational experience, from undergrad to masters and PHD candidates who are seeking professional experience in an engineering environment. Students are highly encouraged to indicate on their resumes an interest in Aviation safety and indicate specific coursework and/or projects applicable to this field of study/interest.
Functions:
- Create and/or update system electrical wiring harnesses using Capital Harness XC.
- Provide drafting/design support to active aircraft completions.
- Generate engineering documents in support of aircraft completions/delivery.
- May liaison with the hangar and shop teams on engineering issues.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Avionics/Electrical Engineering Leads or Group Head.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or related major. Must graduate after August 2025, or must be planning to move on to the next level of education in Fall 2025 (ie bachelor's to master's). For summer 2025, we will accept spring 2025 graduates only if you have been accepted into a Masters/PhD program for fall 2025.
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA at the time of application is required and must be listed on the submitted resume. Transcripts will be checked and we do not average transfer credits from one institution to another.
- If you are a freshman, please list your high school GPA.
- New graduate students, please list your undergraduate GPA.
- Resumes without GPA will not be considered.
- Ability to convey technical concepts in both written and verbal formats
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Display maturity and a high level of professionalism
- Proven leadership skills on-campus or in a previous work atmosphere
- Previous internship experience a plus
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work for the duration of the internship
- Must be available to work in-person full time 40 hours per week for 12 weeks during the months of April/May - August/September 2025
