Summer 2025 - Preliminary Design Intern in GAC Savannah
Unique Skills:
As an intern in Gulfstream's Innovation and Future Programs team, this role will focus on environmental technology and sustainability. Educational and/or work experience in these areas is preferred. Successful applicants will have a strong interest in exploring the environmental challenges of business aviation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Interesting majors would include AE, ME, Electrical Eng, Computer Science, Environmental Engineering and Public Policy or International Affairs.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Under guidance of the senior engineering staff, the students will be assigned to complete various software tasks including:
- Preparation and modification of aircraft simulation and software using Matlab/Simulink for use in a lab test aircraft simulation environment.
- Develop software tools to create efficiencies in the lab testing process.
- General support of aircraft lab test requirements development, software integration and l test execution activities.
- Interface with other internal organizations such as flight sciences, aircraft system engineers, lab design engineers and lab technicians.
- Abilities/Skills: Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Display maturity and a high level of professionalism. Indicate any specific technical skills.

Education and Experience Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
- Must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher at the time of application and it must be listed on the submitted resumes.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
- Must be available to work in-person, at least 40 hours per week May/June - August/September 2025.
