JOB SUMMARY:
This is a summer internship in our Legacy Business Unit department. Currently the production personnel utilize small hardware for installations from a stocked Rotobin which has predetermined hardware. The intern will analyze the current utilization of hardware being stocked in the Rotobins as well as other hardware not currently stocked in the bins. The intern will need to be able to propose a change in parts inventory to maximize production efficiency as we as propose new process enhancements to sustain the results.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
- Call meetings with production personnel and map out the current process as well as pull statistical data on the usage of the inventory
- Ability to present in PowerPoint their proposal to any changes in processes or inventory to senior leadership
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to understand inventory usage
- Must be able to pull data for statistical analysis
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
- Must reside in the United States
ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Engineering major preferred
