New contract opportunity for a Principal Quality Engineer based in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, with our Aerospace and Defence Client.

Job Title: Principal Quality Engineer
Location: Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria
Type: 12-month contract (potential for extension and permanent prospects)
PAYE: 35/hour + 5.09 Holiday Pay
Umbrella: 45.50/hour
Pattern: 37hrs per week, Remote, The role involves auditing suppliers, so candidates need to be prepared to travel to suppliers 4 – 5 days/week, travel, accommodation and meals will be reimbursed and it’s likely that overtime will be available.

Knowledge:
Understanding and application of ISO 9001/ EN9100 standards

Subject Matter Expert (SME) own discipline within Quality and a broad understanding of other Quality related disciplines

Understanding of Business Management Systems, Operational Framework and Operational Assurance process

Knowledge of and experience of product safety, in a manufacturing environment.

Understanding the importance of cross functional integration across the Business Unit to achieve overall goals of the Function

Qualifications:
(Candidate does not need all)
PCN level 2 (as a minimum) in NDT (UT, DPI, MPI or radiography)
ICORR or NACE level 2
CSWIP 3.1 or 3.2
Audit to iso 9001:2015 or AS 9100
