Job Description
Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) Lead and primary POC for delivery of supplied products and services at TLS San Diego, CA and LaMesa, Mexico facilities.
**This role is critical to ensure the quality and overall management of procured product are successful across TLS Operations as well as cross plant RMS programs.**
The selected candidate will ensure Suppliers adherence to requirements and drive corrective/preventative actions for non-conforming product, processes and procedures. This position will support multiple programs, significant volume of procured product, delivering to the TLS San Diego and La Mesa sites which includes VTESS, ISIS, and Radar programs. There will be weekly travel to La Mesa, Mexico, and visits to Supplier sites to ensure early engagement and inspections are completed, as well as ensuring corrective actions are implemented. While managing several programs and collaborating within numerous lines of business (LOBs), the selected candidate will also coordinate weekly with as a key member of the larger Land & Maritime Solutions SQE team. This role is also excellent for a self-starter, with strong communication skills who can collaborate cross functionally with SQE Leadership, Product Quality, Receiving, Operations, Engineering, and Program Offices. Additional responsibilities include:
- Providing support and QA inspection to San Diego Receiving
- Collaborating/Participating in La Mesa Operations leadership team meetings
- Solve complex challenges involving nonconforming (NC) product and possible internal triggers
- Document NC descriptions, RCCAs, and recommending a path forward on internal technical issues
- Monitor defect trends and perform root cause analysis
- Interface with Operations Program Managers (OPMs), Manufacturing Engineering, Product Quality, Supply Chain Management and other functions.

Bachelors degree (technical) from an accredited college with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
Proven experience in project management and team leadership
Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings

Experience within the Engineering or Quality field

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $78,500 - $150,400. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as spanet and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
