BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
- 2+ years of experience in supply chain, manufacturing or engineering
- Experience in one or more of the following:
- Ordinance fabrication
- Loading and forming of energetic powders, slurries, handling and safety considerations
- GD&T, dimensional inspection, non destructive evaluation techniques, and interpretation of x-rays and N-ray
- Environmental testing including thermal and mechanical dynamics like shock and vibration
- Special processes such as swaging, welding (electron beam, laser, resistance), application of adhesives, soldering, heat treatment
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Master’s degree in engineering or business
- Experience defining acceptance criteria, quality requirements, and logistical/packaging considerations and solutions for ordnance products.
- Experience containing/quarantining nonconforming product in a dynamic, fast-paced production environment
- General familiarity with ordnance industry and products that are related to flight termination systems
- Knowledge of ATF and DOD regulations and ordnance certification processes
- Knowledge of supplier quality processes: production part approval process, advanced product quality planning, first article inspection reports
- SPC knowledge and experience applying statistical methods to track process capability
- Disciplined approach to problem solving
- Experience with MRP or ERP systems
- Experience in a fast-paced, iterative design environment within the consumer electronics, mobile handset, medical devices, aerospace, marine or automotive industries
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work long hours and some nights and weekends when needed
- Ability to travel - up to 60-75% work week travel may be required, including international travel
- Valid driver’s license
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay range:
Supply Chain Engineer / Level I: $95,000.00 - $115,000.00/per year
Supply Chain Engineer / Level II: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00/per year
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
