Signal / Image Processing Engineer
Orlando, FL
Contract Position
$60.87-$65.87/Hour

Responsibilities:
- Develop advanced signal and image processing algorithms for missile systems, focusing on target detection, identification, and system performance in complex environments.
- Design algorithms for signal and image processing, including target detection, automatic recognition, scene generation, and hyperspectral image techniques.
- Develop models, simulations, and system-level performance evaluations under various environmental conditions.
- Verify system and subsystem requirements through modeling and testing.
- Present technical material to both internal leadership and external customers.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of engineers and subject matter experts to advance algorithm development.
- Work towards becoming a subject matter expert in algorithm development for missile products.
Qualifications:
- Education: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience: 5–8 years of experience developing and analyzing signal and image processing algorithms.
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in C++, MATLAB, or Python, with experience in Linux environments.
- Desired Skills:
- Experience deploying real-time algorithms in embedded systems and meeting performance requirements.
- Knowledge of AI/ML techniques for algorithm development.
- Strong background in mathematics (Kalman filtering, state estimation, linear algebra, probability, statistics, and multivariate calculus).
- Expertise with electro-optical/infrared (EOIR) technology, including optics, radiometry, and clutter rejection techniques.
- Proficiency in modeling and simulation of EOIR systems.
- Familiarity with navigation and inertial tracking algorithms.
- Experience using linear algebra software packages.
