Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full-time Early Career Systems Engineer. In this role, you will perform reliability analysis and field data analytics for assigned system(s). Will participate in the development of reliability specifications, statements of work, failure mode effects and criticality analysis (FMECA), reliability predictions and failure analysis, root cause and corrective action. Will assist in the evaluation of advanced/conceptual designs for reliability characteristics and recommend alternatives for design efficiencies. The successful candidate will perform data analytics to trend aircraft field data and supplier repair data, calculate and track aircraft performance metrics, create innovative data visualizations, and recommend improvements to team processes and procedures.
Must be a U.S. Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in mechanical, electrical, aeronautical, or systems engineering or related technical discipline.
- Ability to perform detail-oriented work with a high degree of accuracy and quick delivery.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
Desired Skills:
- Strong math background, with emphasis on data analysis.
- Familiarity with reliability/maintainability fundamentals and basic understanding of root cause analysis.
- Effective analytical and problem solving skills.
- Coursework or experience with manipulation/analysis of data in spreadsheets (MS Excel Formulas, Pivot Tables, and/or VBA).
- Coursework or experience in using software, databases, and/or visualizations (Python, MS Access, HANA, Tableau, or SQL/Oracle).
- Coursework or experience in formal presentation development, PowerPoint construct and delivery, and working in a team environment.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
