Were looking for an outstanding Systems Engineer who combines superb technical and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively. This person must be comfortable working with a team of top-notch developers and hardware designers. We’re looking for people who innovate and love solving hard problems. Export License Control
This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon’s ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.

Key job responsibilities
- Leads interdisciplinary trade studies across subsystems, and other systems in Prime Air to determine drone level architecture
- Executes systems engineering process at the drone level including responsibility for system engineering artifacts including design documentation, interface control documents, requirements used for operational approvals
- Responsible for drone system verification and validation

A day in the life


Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Professional experience with Drone Systems - may include navigation, controls, perception, propulsion, communications or avionics
- 5+ years experience in aerospace systems engineering
- System and subsystem level verification of hardware and/or software for aircraft systems - Master's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Proficiency in configuration management and control
- Experience in new product development

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic spanets. The base pay for this position ranges from $116,300/year in our lowest geographic spanet up to $201,200/year in our highest geographic spanet. Pay is based on a number of factors including spanet location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
