Amentum is currently seeking a Systems Engineer I to support the PM Soldier Survivability (PM SSV) project office under Program Executive Office (PEO) Soldier, Fort Belvoir, VA. This position will afford you an opportunity to be part of a dynamic and cohesive team whose mission is to provide and rapidly deliver enhanced protection, individual equipment, and aviation life support capabilities, which provides combat overmatch and facilitates mission execution.

As a Systems Engineer I you will be expected to provide the following support to the Project Manager Soldier Survivability:
Participates in systems engineering activities including requirements analyses, functional analyses, design solutions formulation, systems analysis and control, and generation and maintenance of systems architecture products.
Assists in formulating systems engineering documents, processes, procedures and milestones.
Capable of acquiring knowledge of the Systems Engineering Management Process and Implementation, as applied to the Department of Army/DOD Acquisition process throughout all life cycle phases.
Assists with design, development, integration, testing, installation, and troubleshooting.
Assists in preparation of technical documentation such as specifications, engineering drawings, system interface requirements, and engineering changes.
Reviews test plans, procedures, and reports for technical adequacy on assigned programs, for both Government and contractor tests, as well as all failure reports.
Reviews and evaluates system performance against specification requirements, monitors and assesses field performance, and assesses risk of meeting user and specification requirements.
Reviews program management documents to ensure accuracy and adequacy of technical content.
Manage Systems Engineering on assigned programs with oversight from Senior, Master
Mechanical Engineer or Government Engineering lead.
