The Work
Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems has an opportunity in Syracuse for a Systems Engineer Sr. Staff Test Lead supporting the MK-48 Torpedo and USW programs. In this role you will collaborate with a diverse team of technical professionals. The successful candidate will be flexible, motivated, dedicated, detail-focused, team-oriented, and capable of multi-tasking. The systems engineer test director is responsible for leading a team through planning and coordinating all test activities from First Article Test, system integration, system verification and validation, Environmental, and factory acceptance testing. In this role the Test Lead will lead a team developing test plans, writing test procedures, developing test automation scenarios, developing data simulation scenarios, performing test execution, and documenting test results.

Basic Qualifications:
•Experience planning and conducting First Article Testing (FAT)
•Experience planning and conducting Environmental Qualification Testing (EQT) (Shock, Vibration, Stress, Noise, EMI)
•Experience leading a team of engineers
•Capable of briefing program management, senior leadership, and our US Navy customer on the status of the test plan and execution.
•Candidates must have the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance to at least the Secret level
Desired Skills:
•Comfortable working in a fast paced and dynamic multi-disciplinary environment
•Experience working with Military Standards (MIL-STDs) for test planning and procedure development
•Experience with Highly Accelerated Stress Testing (HAAS)
•Experience planning and conducting Factory Acceptance Tests
•Experience organizing and planning product testing at the system level
•Ability to evaluate and review technical changes for impacts of system requirements and design documentation in order to develop new requirements specifications, and requirement verification plans
•Prior experience on US Navy programs
•Prior Cost Account Management (CAM)/Earned Value Management (EVM) experience
•Experience with Systems Engineering Lifecycle and processes
•Has conducted Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs) with Government customers
•Has conducted field testing preferably at government facilities and ranges

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $118,100 - $226,400. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as spanet and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate:
