Description:Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Systems Engineer-IT. In this role, you will work on a team to delver and maintain an AWS infrastructure. A successful candidate will have a degree (BS) in a science or technology related discipline, experience with cloud computing, experience working with both LINUX and Windows operating systems, and be familiar with Infrastructure development (ISP). Experience or education in any of the following technologies would also be beneficial: AWS (or other cloud environment), VMWare, vCloud, vCO, Automation, NetApp Storage, windows administration, and cyber security.

Responsibilities will include:
- Implementing new features to improve application performance and user experience on the AWS environments. You will work closely with users and teammates to seamlessly deploy and integrate new software & infrastructure using continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) methodologies.
- Performing operations and sustainment on the AWS environments to include user account management, server/application patching, and system health monitoring from the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Console to maintain critical cyber security accreditations and system availability requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
• Demonstrated experience working with cloud infrastructure such as Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, or Amazon Web Services

• Experience trouble-shooting software issues and responding to user helpdesk tickets.

Active TS/SCI to start with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI w/poly
Desired Skills:
• Ability to work well with others, including team members
from different departments and varying levels of technical
expertise

• Experience or interest in managing AWS infrastructure such as provisioning Elastic Cloud Compute (EC2) instances, backing up Elastic Block Storage (EBS) volumes, controlling access to Simple Storage Service (S3) buckets, or configuring relational database services (RDS).

• Experience with Active Directory.

• Experience with Ansible or shell scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

• Experience with COTS/FOSS installs and integration (Common applications include Elasticsearch, Kibana, Oracle/SQL Databases, and Docker).

• Familiarity with standard DOD security practices such as STIG compliance and system accreditations.

• Experience trouble-shooting software issues and responding to user helpdesk tickets.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $67,400 - $129,300. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as spanet and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
