Pay Rate: $81-91
Position can be hybrid (need to be able to be on site 2-3 days a week - Candidate needs to be local to the Centennial area
JIRA (Agile Project Management tool) is a big plus. Team Center is a plus.
Prefer the Aerospace industry, can be a space start up, aircraft manufacturers, etc; would consider Automotive as well
Responsibilities include:
• Executing systems engineering activities for Vulcan Centaur Development including (but not limited to) requirements development, integration, systems analyses, failure modes & effects analyses, test methods, operational process development, trade study development and management, risk, issue, and opportunity management, team and program execution planning, technical decision making, requirements verification activities, proposal support, and gate review preparation and execution.
• Supporting multidisciplinary project teams with cross-functional technical integration.
• Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Identifying and applying appropriate scaling of systems engineering activities commensurate with the specific project needs.
• Performs system and subsystem integration ensuring that subsystems function together as an integrated system
Required Qualifications :
Requires a bachelor’s degree and 5-9 years of experience.
Required Skills :
• Bachelors degree in Engineering or related technical field is required from an accredited college or university is required.
• Experience generating, allocating, and verifying requirements.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in the performance of requirements analysis, development, integration, and verification: trade study management and risk management.
• This position requires knowledge of Systems Engineering and Integration processes and tools.
• Experience and background with previous development programs to develop a new product from scratch or enhance an existing product is preferred
• Experience with system level design reviews (e.g. SRR, PDR, CDR, etc.) and presenting to a diverse customer audience.
• Knowledge and ability to work within an Agile development process is highly desired. Experience with JIRA.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience supporting multidisciplinary project teams with an emphasis on Propulsion, Structures, Avionics (or other launch vehicle systems) is highly desired.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, able to interface with internal and external customers through a broad range of topics.
• A successful candidate will have demonstrated technical knowledge in areas that drive design such as structural analysis and design, propulsion analysis and design, electrical analysis and design, software development, or system analysis.
• A successful candidate will be a self-starter able to work autonomously, learn, tailor and execute processes, and perform in a collaborative Agile environment.
• Experience with Word, Excel, and Power Point to include the integration of charts for large presentations to the customer.
