Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (AS) sector is seeking a Systems Engineering (SE) Director 2 for program integration and execution. This key leadership role is based out of Melbourne, FL.
The selected candidate is responsible for the development of requirements and verification testing of weapon system capabilities aligned to Customer needs. The individual works in partnership with the Program engineering organization and Execution IPTs to lead the definition of system performance requirements and associated verification compliance testing of their respective design solutions. Emphasis is placed on modeling and simulation to properly derive and allocate requirements to subsystems as well as laboratory testing capabilities to verify performance to the maximum extent possible. Recent and relevant experience in Model Based System Engineering and understanding of digital threads, digital twins, and integration across air vehicle, software, and avionics design and analysis tools. This role will lead the workforce planning, staffing, and technical expertise across systems engineering function embedded in a large program.
Successful leadership of this organization requires the ability to drive quality and efficiency through development and deployment of world-class people, processes, tools, and products. The Systems Engineering Integration and Execution Director will be responsible for leading the SE program organization by championing diversity, equity, and inclusion to foster a high-performing, motivated, and engaged culture. They will manage the processes and tools used by SE to ensure the engineers are trained, equipped, and empowered to support the large program. This leader will also be responsible for establishing the vision and strategy for the SE program organization and collaborating broadly up and across AS engineering leadership in pursuit of collective business objectives.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Drive improved employee engagement and appreciation through verbal, written, and tangible recognition, events, and personal interactions
Oversee program/project reviews, independent technical reviews, NCTA and indirect activities, process improvement plans, proposal review and signoff, and capital planning and management
Parter with the Engineering functional homeroom and national directorates to equitably manage the yearly cycles for promotions, merits, and bonuses that affordably balances the experience base across the organization, and achieves retention objectives

Basic Qualifications:
Ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company, and ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience across lifecycles including Research and Design, Product Development or New Product Introduction, Production, and Sustainment
Salary Range: $203,000 - $304,400
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
