Job Summary:
As an intern at Crane Aerospace & Electronics, you will develop knowledge about the business through exposure to a functional area (such as manufacturing, engineering, and lean principles). You will focus on developing the skills necessary for success by assisting employees with day-to-day job assignments. You may be assigned to additional training or project work. The Companys internship program is intended to provide students from diverse backgrounds with the opportunity to practice business skills learned in school while gaining work experience.
Essential Functions:
- Collaborate effectively with technical staff and all functional groups to develop or test safety critical embedded software.
- Perform analysis of requirements, design and code to assure compliance to standards and guidelines.
- Develop and ensure full traceability of customer specification requirements to software code.
- Prepare technical documentation necessary to satisfy customer and program requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education/Experience:
- Must be actively pursuing, with two (2) years completed, a BA or BS degree from a four-year college or university.
- Must provide GPA, minimum accepted 3.1 on a 4.0 scale.
- Knowledge and Skills:

- Understand Software Engineering principles, including interpretation and writing requirements, architecture and design, C language.
- Familiarity with Model Based development (like UML, Simulink, SCADE) a plus.
- Should be self-directed/motivated, and work and communicate well within a team that consists of several engineering disciplines.
- Use effective communication in presentations, analyses, and reports.
- Must be project-oriented and be able to multi-task.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Word.
- Ability to fulfill a one quarter or semester internship commitment, 40 hours per week
- Eligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Salary range: $24.00 to 27.50. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications.
