You will be the Simulation and System Labs (SSL) Manager within Engineering & Technology (E&T)

What You Will Be Doing

This Simulation and System Labs (SSL) Manager within Engineering & Technology (E&T) is responsible for all System engineering development and integration of within the F-35 Simulation Development projects assigned to the lab enterprise. F-35 Simulation Development provides high fidelity software simulation systems to various customers including Mission Systems Development, Pilot Training, and tactical events.

Responsibilities include:
• Coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, recognition/disciplinary actions, and system engineering competency development
• Manage schedule/cost/technical risks, requirements development and management, system design, integration, verification, and validation of laboratory products
• Oversee the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support the generation of engineering applications and products such as laboratory simulation systems, laboratory Hardware and Man-in-the loop systems
• Interface with customers, suppliers, application users, and other technical and support personnel
• Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into laboratory specifications
• Maintain awareness on emerging technologies and project/program management techniques

This engineering manager will focus on systems engineering for the F-35 and Advanced Development Programs (ADP) Tactical Simulation Products related to F-35 and ADP for the organization. Active DoD or project clearances desired. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements with for access to classified information.

Basic Qualifications:
• Experience with the full systems engineering lifecycle from requirements through verification/validation
• Bachelors degree in STEM discipline (Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering preferred) OR non-STEM bachelors degree combined with technical experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
