As test engineer you will be responsible of leading the team in the operating activities relevant to modules or components test. You will be the focal point of the assigned test from the definition phase of the test through the whole process to data post-processing and reporting. You will coordinate the involved experimental testing team and will interface with the Customer of the test.Job DescriptionEssential Responsibilities
Pre and post test activities
You will work with the Test Leader/CTHs and the rest of the team in the following activities:
definition of test architecture
concurrence and review of the test request / test plan
guarantee the availability of all the components necessary for executing the test activities
concurrence and review of the test rig / facility equipment specification
Support to the development and execution of new test cells or test benches with the target to meet the spec requirements and the cost and timing objectives.
quotation and planning
commissioning
test data validation
issuing of test reports and management of test database
Execution of test activities meeting the targets in terms of quality, schedule and costs
You will coordinate the team that will operate in the test cell ensuring, with respect targets agreed upon and configuration standards required, the installation of test rigs and test articles, the set up and configuration of the data acquisition system, the management of tests, the correct registration/filling of test data, the disassembly and preservation of material used.
Guarantee quality of test activities
You will have to perform the activities following the rationalization and standardization of test methods reported in the applicable documents, with the intention of improving efficiency and effectiveness.
You will be in charge of:
the communications and updates relevant to the test execution issuing the daily report
recording the test activities in the logbook
managing the test data with the standard tools provided
fulfilling the schedule of the test campaign agreed with the internal/external customer and the test leader
reviewing and recording of the test article quality documentation
guarantee the calibration of the relevant instrumentation and the reliability of the test results
managing and record the maintenance activities of the rigs and the equipment
managing the maintenance activities of the facility
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor degree in Aeronautics or Mechanical Engineering
Fluent English
Experience in an engineering role
Knowledge of mechanical components design and familiarity with mechanical drawings
Some background in air/oil network systems and general plant services is preferred.
Some background in measurement and acquisition systems
Some background in EHS topics (worker safety, waste managing, etc.)
Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required
Project management skills to plan and monitor the activities in terms of schedule and costs
Desired Characteristics Problem solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to face urgencies
Strong oral and written communication skills
Some background in engine control logics
Some background in high frequency data management and vibration analysis
Proven experience in leading cross functional and multicultural teams
PC proficiency
Availability for three shifts work
