Description:You will be the Tool Design Engineer for the Missiles and Fire Control team in Ocala. Our team is responsible for designing dies, gauges, jigs, fixtures, prototype models, and robotics end-of-arm tooling for production or experimental purposes.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Tool Design Engineer, you will be responsible for utilizing 3D modeling software to conceptualize, create, and integrate industrial machinery, equipment, and tools. Your responsibilities will include:
• Designing dies, gauges, jigs, fixtures, prototype models, and robotics end-of-arm tooling for production or experimental purposes.
• Accounting for various factors such as accessibility, ergonomics, safety, economy, mobility, and performance requirements while developing solutions.
This position typically requires 2 years of professional experience

Basic Qualifications:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software, such as SolidWorks, or CREO.
• 2+ years of professional experience.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and materials.
• This position is located at a facility that requires special access, therefore the selected candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
Desired Skills:
• At least 2-4+ years of experience as a Tooling Engineer or a related role, including experience in using 3D modeling software and designing industrial machinery and tools.
• Ability to analyze and solve complex engineering problems.
• Familiarity with CNC machining, fabrication, and assembly techniques.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience in managing projects, schedules, and resources.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM systems.
• Knowledge of robotics and automation systems.
• Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and practices.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
